HENRY STEINKE
Feb. 25, 1921 - July 15, 2006
Henry H. Steinke, 85,
of the Otto Community, entered into rest on Saturday, July 15, 2006. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. John's United Church of Christ
Evangelical and Reform Church in Otto with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. John's Cemetery.
Henry was born Feb. 25, 1921 in Ben Arnold, to Albert
and Lena Sager Steinke. He was a farmer and was still active in farming until
shortly before his death. He was a life long resident of the Falls County area
and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Otto. He loved the
outdoors, loved sitting under shade trees and enjoyed inspecting crops. He was
always a hard worker. He married Eleanor Norman on June 14, 1952 in Marlin.
Henry was preceded in death by: sisters, Emma Steinke,
Alma Schreiber and Martha Hefelfinger and brothers, Albert, Otto, Ernest, Paul
and Herman Steinke.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Steinke of Otto;
daughters, Linda Denke and husband, David, of Bryan, Nancy Charlton and husband,
Robert, of Marlin; sons, Jimmy Steinke and wife, Nancy, of Belton, and Randy
Steinke and wife, Tammy, of China Spring; grandchildren, James Steinke, Sallie
Steinke, Cassandra Steinke, Maikayla Busch Steinke and Brandon Busch; brothers,
Felix “Flop” Steinke, Edwin “Fats” Steinke and Alvin “Skinny” Steinke; and
sister, Alvina “Sis” Littrell.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Steinke, Gary Steinke, Larry
Wilkey, Terry Norman, Melvin Hefelfinger, and Bobby Piske.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Kunze, Alvin Neikamp,
Craig Schmedthorst, Mike Caddell, Pete Rowe, Max Adkins and John Niemeyer
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be
made to the St. John's United Church of Christ in Otto.
